Please watch our tutorial video on how to upload your files here.

You can upload your files directly from your computer or from a Google Bucket.

Upload from your computer

To upload your files from your computer, please:

  • Login to Kangaroo

  • Navigate to the ´´File Library´´ page

  • Click on “select files from your computer”

  • Choose to drag and drop or to import your files from your device to the browser

On the right side, in the Current Upload widget, you can monitor the upload of your files.

ATTENTION! Do not close your browser or tab while the upload is pending! This will cancel the upload!

After the upload, the files can be found in the Uploaded Files widget of the ´´File Library´´ page.

IMPORTANT! The FASTQ files which are to be uploaded must be compressed with gzip software.

NOTE: A list of genome references is already available in the File Library (please see What species are available for my data analysis?). If you wish to upload a new reference and/or a new version of the genome, please see this FAQ: How do I upload new genome references for my data analysis with Kangooroo?

Upload from a Google Bucket

If you would like to use a Google Bucket, you need a Google Cloud Storage account (please see What is Google Cloud Storage?).

When you first upload your files from your Google Bucket, you need to create a Google Connector. This Connector will allow Kangooroo to access your Bucket to copy and/or add files.

To upload your data, please:

  • Login to Kangaroo

  • Navigate to the ´´File Library´´ page

  • Click on “use a Google Storage account”

  • Create a Google Connector. To grant us the access rights, make sure to select a Google Account that has permission to access your Bucket.

  • Enter the name of the Google Bucket from which the files will be uploaded

  • Select the files to be uploaded

  • Click upload

In the Google Bucket job widget, you can monitor the upload of your files.
