Can I use RTL with FFPE/low quality samples?
It is not recommended to process degraded RNA and FFPE samples with RTL. We recommend to use RTM for these sample types.
RTL is designed to generate longer inserts and should be used with intact input RNA. If RTL is used with degraded / FFPE RNA, library length may be shortened, yield may be impacted, and more artifacts may be generated.
Our new CORALL FFPE Whole Transcriptome RNA-Seq library prep (Cat. No. 219-220, 233-234) has been specifically optimized for processing FFPE samples.
