As the risk of gDNA contamination is higher due to the degradation of RNA in FFPE samples, it is recommended to perform a DNase treatment prior to library prep.

Two options for DNase treating FFPE samples are:

  • Lexogen’s DNA Removal Add-on (Cat. No. 235) or

  • SPLIT One-Step RNA Extraction Kit (Cat. No. 236)
